Jamia Millia Islamia, an institution originally established at Aligarh in United Provinces, India in 1920 became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. In Urdu language, Jamia means ‘University’, and Millia means ‘National’. Since its establishment, JMI has been an indomitable voice for an inclusive and just society. The Department of Architecture (Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics) and the Department of Civil Engineering are therefore, pleased to organize and host this workshop to discuss inclusivity and justice in our cities.
